Blandford Country Club

For more than 100 years The Blandford Country Club has been home to a charming social, golf and tennis club enjoyed by members of all ages, handicaps and skill levels.

The Club owes its unique character to its founders' commitment as stated in its charter - to encourage membership "by imposing moderate annual dues ad prohibiting any features that may tend to give it an exclusive character."

That has been the tradition since its founding in 1909, when 22 charter members put up $100 each to purchase what was then known as the Porter Estate with the intention of developing a summer retreat for recreational purposes.  The group voted to convert the beautiful summer home of Josephine Porter, built in 1822 and located on the estate, into a club house.  The Club now features a full golf course (nine holes with multiple tees; in the process of being expanded to 6,000+ yards) and Har-Tru tennis courts.

Today, that clubhouse serves as the hub of varied social and athletic activities throughout the spring, summer, and early fall seasons. Festive theme parties, couples golf and tennis, bridge and Mah Jongg leagues are examples of regularly scheduled events.  Mid-week mixed evening golf and tennis tournaments are followed by BYOB cocktails and dinner.  The club's primary philosophy is to provide a refuge for its members - a place to relax with family, guests and friends in a beautiful stress-free setting.

Designed to bring World Class Golf to Western Massachusetts, this 18-hole semi-private course is located about midway between Springfield and Worcester in scenic Belchertown, MA.

Built in 2010, Cold Spring Country Club is a new par 71 PGA-quality course, with its 6,521 yards set on rolling hills that boast of breathtaking vistas in nearly every direction.  Each hole has up to 5 sets of tees, enabling golfers of all levels to play an exciting mix of six par 3s, seven par 4s and five par 5s.

Even the most discriminating golfers will appreciate fairways, greens and tees with the latest in bentgrass, finished off with bunkers of crushed marble and smooth asphalt cart paths.  Cold Spring is a championship course, fastidiously maintained to deliver a challenging and aesthetically pleasing golfing experience every time.

Topping off the golf course -- literally -- is our restaurant appropriately named "The Club House",  which is located on the upper floor of the clubhouse.  Set above the landscape, it also offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, either from the lounge or the patio.  It's a serene place to enjoy a leisurely meal and a cool beverage after your round or just for a great experience in an unforgettable location.

Cold Spring Country Club is easily accessible via the Massachusetts Turnpike and well worth the drive from any location in southern New England.

Built on a beautiful valley plateau, Rolling Meadows Country Club offers incredibly scenic views of the valleys and hills that are the signature of the Ellington countryside.

The first nine holes feature rolling hills and gently undulating greens, while the back nine demands accurate play thanks to the narrow fairways lined with towering trees. The back nine also features some of the most spectacular views in the area with the Berkshire mountain range rising in the far distance.

The most amazing thing about Rolling Meadows is it's incredible close proximty to two of southern New England's most populace cities.  They are less than 30 minutes from Hartford and Springfield, which make them among the most convenient for a quick round with friends, or as a host to any company or organization’s next outing.

The owners and managers of Rolling Meadows take pride in their golf course and the service that they provide is second to none.

Rolling Meadows is the first "Safari Friendly" golf course in Connecticut.  They met all the criteria of holding this distinction with ease.  GREAT golf course, GREAT people with a GREAT attitude offering some GREAT opportunities for all our Safari Club members.

Nestled at the foot of the Berkshires, Shaker Farms Country Club was once an Indian’s playground. Now Shaker Farms Country Club is a shot-makers dream~ abound with natural ponds, rolling hills, and winding brooks.

Georffrey Cornish, a renowned New England golf architect, designed the course using the contour of the land as his canvas.  The layout is Shaker Farms Country Club real niche. This semi-private, 18 hole championship golf course, challenges avid golfers with its hills, plateaus, meandering brooks, ponds and doglegs.  Each hold has its  own personality with the trees and brooks serving as natural boundaries between the holes.

The club house has a New England charm all its own. The cozy pro shop welcomes golfers and the 19th hole has a unique antique bar. Members and friends hang out on the deck watching the golfers tee off on the tenth and put-it-in-the-hole on the 18th.  But it is the friendly staff that makes you feel like family that is the real bonus.  So, Come Play A Round with Us!

“Hidden Gem”!  We’re sure you’ve heard that term before as it might well be one of the most overused terms in golf.  However, there’s no better two words to describe this incredibly well cared for golfing oasis then exactly by employing their use one more time.

Rolling hills and tree lined fairways in a quiet and serene setting will at times be reminiscent of what you might expect to find on golf courses further to the north or out in the Berkshires.  But it’s all hear and it’s right under our nose.

Speaking of fairways, you’ll be hard pressed to find any fairways anywhere else that are as plush and well-conditioned as the ones you’ll be playing on at Southampton Country Club.  The greens are spectacular as well and will reward the good putters with a very playable speed and smooth and true rolling experience.  The average putter will quickly learn that staying below the hole offers much more opportunities in making those ten footers or less, especially when they represent those tricky second putts to save par or bogey.

We are extremely pleased to add Southampton County Club to our Safari Friendly collection of top area golf courses.  We’re sure our Premier Members will want to take advantage of this opportunity as often as possible.

Rick Leal, is the resident PGA Pro and course manager.  With many years of experience and golf know how, Rick follows in the footsteps of long time professional E J Altobello and seems to be very capable of accepting the challenge.

Wahconah Country Club, in picturesque Dalton, MA, is a semi-private, championship 18 hole golf course nestled in the eastern hills of Berkshire County.  The front nine holes boast open fairways with large greens that give way to panoramic views and inviting play.

The back nine holes, with their narrower tree-lined fairways and smaller greens, offer shade and some fun but challenging situations!  With public play welcome, they are only 15 minutes from I-90, located off of Route 8 in Dalton.

Go play Wahconah and you'll quickly see why so many call it the best laid out course around and why it was ranked 4th by GolfAdvisor of the Top 25 Courses in New England in 2016,  as well as the BEST GOLF COURSE in the BERSHIRES IN 2017.  And to top it all off...it's one of the Safari Club of Golfs favorite GOLF destination as well.
